Hand-sculpted architectural gorilla executed in TerraStone™, composed of irregular stone fragments with real depth, separation, and mass. The surface is matte to soft-satin, absorbing light rather than reflecting it, emphasizing weight, shadow, and permanence.
This work is conceived as a grounded presence: calm, deliberate, and immovable.
The form prioritizes silhouette and structural balance over surface ornament, allowing material behavior and hand process to define the final character.
Each Gorilla is sculpted entirely by hand, from scratch.
No molds are used. No surface is repeated. Variations in stone composition, texture, proportion, and detail are inherent to the process.
While the Gorilla form may be commissioned again at different scales or site conditions, no two sculptures are ever identical. Each work is a singular object, resolved in response to material, hand, and placement.
Designed for permanent outdoor placement along entry axes, garden courts, and architectural approaches, the sculpture establishes authority without aggression and presence without excess.
